Last year I met Heather and Joe when they, with their daughter Emily, welcomed their son Matt (Matty) into the world.  I fell in love with this family right away! Emily has the best energy and Heather and Joe are such a lovely couple, they balance each other so well and can laugh at the chaos of life. I've been so lucky and humbled to work with this family over and over. 

Matty recently turned one and to celebrate, I got to spend a Sunday afternoon hanging out and baking with the Schlosberg crew.  This session was all giggles, as Matty and Emily both have big personalities and it was literally SO sweet.  I can't share Joe's famous chocolate chip cookie recipe, but I can tell you that these cookies were AMAZING.  Heather sent me home with some and I won't lie, I ate one and a half cookies on the ride home.   Cookies are my weakness and these bad boys made me weak in the knees.

One the greatest privileges I have as a photographer is being given the opportunity to capture magical moments in my friends lives.  I am always honored when an old friend reaches out to work together, and so when Kevin and Claire asked me to do their baby photos, I of course said yes.  

Kevin and I went to high school together and had a lot of fun times.  He married the most perfect and sweet girl, Claire, and together they have created the most adorable family.  I've said it before, but it always makes my heart burst to watch the guys I grew up acting crazy with, now acting in their role as fathers. 

Kevin, Claire, and their unbelievably adorable son Hudson,  welcomed baby number 2 in March! Everette, or as they affectionately call him, Easy-E, is the cutest little peanut and as you can see the whole family is totally smitten.  

I always have a lot of laughs with my clients during newborn sessions because I am a mom myself, and bringing home a new baby is at once chaotic, amazing, stressful and hilarious.  Sometimes all you can do is laugh, so you don't cry.  But bringing home baby with an 18 mo. old waiting at the door can make things particularly hilarious.

The Anderson family was a session for the books.  We literally laughed to the point of tears.  Between snack time for their new baby,  nap time for their oldest, Dad burning his lunch and the smoke alarm going off, and the general chaos that comes with two under two, there was no shortage of entertainment.  Mom, Brianna is one of my new favorite people as she literally smiled and laughed through the entire ordeal.  Brianna, if you were stressed during the session, your poker face is amazing.  I loved working with the Anderson family, and I love how the laughter seems to poor out of their photos. 

I feel like so far, 2017 has been full of little ladies, so I was excited to work with the Burnett family as they welcomed their little prince, Brooks in February.   Brooks is so handsome and his fur-sibling, Koco kept us laughing during our session.  Clearly Koco was still sorting out her feelings about no longer being the only child in the family.

I met the Warpinkski family this past Fall during my 2016 fall mini sessions.  I immediately fell in love with them and their adorable children.  When Caitlin enlisted me for Baby #3's newborn photos, I was beyond excited. Jack and Caitlin are the coolest parents and I love their laid back, laugh it off parenting style.  Never a dull moment with this crew!  

Welcome to the world sweet baby Nora! 

I had the great pleasure of documenting Karen and Rory's pregnancy essentially from start to finish. From maternity photos, to having the incredible privilege of photographing their daughter Kelly Rose's birth and finally Kelly's debut modeling photos.   Rory and I have been buddies since high school, I've loved watching him come into his new roll as Dad and I am so happy to have had the opportunity to get to know his hilarious and sweet wife Karen.

Our newborn session was filled with puppy kisses and lots of giggles. Much love to the Murphy family, thank you for letting me be part of this journey.

Good morning!  

I am so excited to be launching my new site today! It has been a labor of love and I couldn't have done it without Laine Napoli at Branding Addicts.  Laine has put up with me for the past several months helping me to craft a site that I feel is a true reflection of myself and Penny Lane Lifestyle Photography.  

I am new to the blogging world but I promise to do my best to share (but not overshare) my favorite sessions, life lessons, and little bit of everything in between that makes up my days!
